Easy Peasy Socks - $45

There is just something special about a pair of hand-knit socks.  They are a perfect combination of utility and luxury.  If you've been curious about sock knitting, this class is a great opportunity to get your feet wet (harhar).  This simple, cuff to toe pattern will get you comfortable with how socks are constructed.  You'll have a well-stocked sock drawer in no time!

Prerequisites: Basic knitting skills, some experience with double-point needles

Supplies:

  • 100g skein of sock weight yarn (sample knit in Opal)
  • Set of 5 #1 double-point needles
  • Stitch marker
  • Yarn needle (Chibi)

Skills Learned:

  • Casting onto double-point needles
  • Review of knitting using double-point needles
  • Cuff-down sock construction, including heel flap, turning the heel, and gusset
  • Toe decreases
  • Kitchener stitch
