Beginning Weaving - $45

Sunday, February 26th, 12-4p

We're excited to bring tapestry weaving into the shop!  This workshop will introduce you to all the basics of weaving on a tapestry loom while making a small wall hanging.  Students will learn how to warp their loom and how to work plain weaving.  We will also be learning how to make rya knots for fringe and how to weave the soumak stitch for added texture in the body of our weaving.  Tapestry weaving is a perfect way to use up leftover balls of yarn, so while yarn will be provided for class, students should feel free to bring anything from home that they would like to use.
