Lydia Shawl - $40

Crocheters of all levels will enjoy making this fun shawl! If you've taken Beginning Crochet with us and feel like you have the basic stitches down, this is a fantastic next step. Students will learn how to work increases to shape this shawl and how to read a simple crochet chart. More advanced crocheters will easily relax into the quick pattern. We'll get everything started in the first class and cover several different edging options in the second class.

Prerequisites: Advanced-beginner crochet skills; students should be comfortable with the basic crochet stitches and how to follow a pattern

Homework: Print your pattern and work a gauge swatch


  • 50-100g of fingering-weight yarn; we used Gypsy Girl Creations Transitions
  • 5.5mm crochet hook (US #I)
  • Basic crochet tools
