Shawl Shapes Workshop - $60

Saturdays, May 20th, 27th, & June 3rd; 10a-12p

This three-part workshop is designed to help students understand the construction of common shawl shapes. We'll be working through several different shawl constructions by knitting mini shawls! Each session will focus on a particular category of shawl shape (square, circle, triangle, etc) and cover the most common ways they are knit. Use the information from this workshop to increase your shawl-knitting confidence or as a template to begin designing your own shawls!

Prerequisites: Advanced-Beginner knitting skills; students should be comfortable with basic stitches and simple increases/decreases


  • Smooth, light-colored DK or worsted-weight yarn
  • Circular (length doesn't matter) and double-pointed needles in one size larger than recommended for your yarn choice
  • Stitch markers
  • Pen (info packet will be provided for each session)
