Strange Brew Guided KAL - $35

Sundays, Oct. 22nd through Dec. 3rd, 10-11a

When we heard about this colorwork KAL from Tin Can Knits, we knew we had to fit it into our schedule! Strange Brew, the latest sweater pattern from TCK, is a guide to creating a custom colorwork sweater! They've taken the math out of sweater design so you can choose from one of 25 sweater sizes and just plug your favorite designs into the pattern! You can decide to do a little bit of patterning or a whole lot! You can knit with 2 colors or 12!

We'll be meeting once a week on Sundays to help you through the entire process of designing and knitting your Strange Brew sweater. As a bonus, we'll be giving a steeking demonstration so your Strange Brew can be a cardigan if you'd like! Be sure to post your finished sweater in the TCK Ravelry thread for a chance to win a prize. (Don't feel like designing your own sweater, but still want to play? Check out the Dog Star sweater! It uses the same basic pattern as Strange Brew but the colorwork design is already done for you.)

Prerequisites: Intermediate knitting skills (previous experience knitting colorwork, basic increases/decreases)

Homework: If you want to get a head-start by choosing a colorwork pattern and swatching, go for it! Otherwise, we'll be covering this in the first class. This pattern is very lengthy, we highly recommend purchasing it in Ravelry and choosing which pages you truly need to print.
