We are absolutely in love with colorwork yokes this week!  It all started with Isabell Kraemer's poncho.  The little details are what make this design stand out.  The eyelet pattern in the body keeps the garment drapey and adds a little interest without being distracting.  The small band of color in the yoke doesn't compete with the funnel neck collar.  We fell down the rabbit hole, browsing through patterns and talking about colorwork yokes for days!  Another amazing example we love is the "Regnbogi" (Rainbow) sweater.  The idea of being able to play with endless color possibilities drew us to this yoke pattern.  There has even been talk of making a hybrid of the two designs!

Look at that early bloomer practically glowing!  It would be so easy to design a colorwork yoke out of the earthy, blended hues on one end of this palette with the hot fuschias on the other end as a little pop.
